Large Breed Puppy Formula

Specifically designed for the nutritional needs of large breed puppies.

Product Information
Best Years Large Breed Puppy Formula is specifically designed for the proper growth and development of large and giant breed puppies from weaning to 18 months of age. You may have already noticed that your puppy will not stay small for very long, but a controlled, versus rapid rate of growth in larger breeds is important for joint and skeletal health. Best Years Large Breed Puppy Formula contains the desired concentration of calcium and phosphorus in order to help support skeletal tissue, as well as appropriate protein and energy to achieve a healthy rate of growth. With a delicious taste to stimulate a hearty appetite and the right sized, crunchy kibble to promote healthy teeth, Best Years provides the nutrition your dog deserves.

Recommended Daily Feeding
Use a standard 8 oz. measuring cup. For an average puppy with normal activity, the following amounts are recommended in the chart to the left. The amounts listed are TOTAL daily feeding amounts. Divide the indicated amount for your puppy's age and weight into equal portions as directed below. Please remember to keep clean, fresh water available at ALL times.

Puppies begin to eat solid food around 4 weeks of age, and will usually stop nursing around 6 weeks of age. During this time, soak Best Years Large Breed Puppy Formula in warm water until soft, and keep available until the puppy is weaned. To ensure freshness, uneaten food should be removed and replaced frequently. After weaning, feed young puppies three times a day with soaked Best Years Large Breed Puppy Formula. At 8 weeks, begin slowly introducing the dry food and decreasing the soaked food over a period of weeks as you see your puppy crunching and eating well. Puppies older than 8 months can usually be fed twice daily. Remember that the guidelines above can vary from one puppy to the next. Please discuss your puppy's ideal weight during regular checkups with your veterinarian. It is important not to let your dog become overweight. For your small and medium breed puppies, please see our specifically designed Best Years Small & Medium Breed Puppy Formula.
