Large Breed Senior Formula

Specifically designed for the nutritional needs of large breed senior dogs.

Product Information
Best Years Large Breed Senior Formula is specifically designed for the proper maintenance of large and giant breed dogs over 6 years of age. While you may not think of your dog as a senior just yet, your pet has different nutritional needs from that of adult dogs or puppies. Avoiding excessive weight gain is crucial at this stage in your senior dog’s life. Senior dogs have less of a need for high protein levels and also require less food energy. Best Years Large Breed Senior Formula provides appropriate protein and energy as well as desired amounts of soluble fibers. A diet rich in fiber helps to maintain proper weight in older dogs and helps promote intestinal health. Best Years Large Breed Senior Formula also contains the amounts of calcium required by senior dogs to help support aging bones. With a delicious taste to stimulate a hearty appetite and the right sized, crunchy kibble to promote healthy teeth, Best Years provides the nutrition your dog deserves.

Recommended Daily Feeding
Use a standard 8 oz. measuring cup. The recommended daily feeding amounts in the chart to the left are based on the average nutritional requirements of healthy senior dogs with regular activity. These feeding amounts are a starting point, but many animals will need more or less food depending on factors such as activity level, age and breed. Most senior dogs can be fed once a day. For your small and medium breed senior dogs, please see our specifically designed Best Years Small and Medium Breed Senior Formula .

Discuss your dog's ideal weight during regular checkups with your veterinarian. It is important not to let your dog become overweight. All Best Years formulas are 100% complete and balanced, so additional supplements are not necessary unless advised by your veterinarian. Please remember that water should be available at all times, and changed frequently to ensure freshness.
